Test TC-54B - Cruise Control Switch Always High

NOTE: Perform TEST TC-54A  before proceeding. After each repair, perform TEST SC-VER  .
NOTE: For connector terminal identification, refer to CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  . For wiring diagrams, see WIRING DIAGRAM  .
  1. Using DRB, read cruise control sensors monitor. While observing S/C SW voltage, wiggle wiring harness in sections between Powertrain Control Module (PCM) connector and cruise control ON/CRUISE/OFF switch 2-pin connector.
  2. If DRB displays voltage more than 4.9 volts while wiring harness is wiggled, repair wiring where voltage fluctuation occurs. If DRB does not display voltage more than 4.9 volts while wiring harness is wiggled, problem does not exist at this time.
