Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK ECM (FPR VOLTAGE) 
    1. Measure the voltage of the ECM connectors.

    Standard: 

    ECM CONNECTOR - VOLTAGE TABLE

    Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
    E3-15 (FPR) - E6-7 (E1) STA signal ON 9 to 14V
    E3-15 (FPR) - E6-7 (E1) STA signal OFF 0 to 3V

    NG: REPLACE ECM (See  REPLACEMENT  ) 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. INSPECT RELAY (Marking: F/PMP) 
    1. Remove the F/PMP relay from the engine room No. 1 R/B.
    2. Measure the resistance of the relay.

    Standard: 

    F/PMP RELAY - RESISTANCE TABLE

    Tester Connection Specified Condition
    3 - 4 Below 1 Ω
    3 - 4 10 kΩ or more (when battery voltage is applied to terminals 1 and 2)

    NG: REPLACE RELAY 

    OK: Go to next step 

  3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (F/PMP RELAY - ECM) 
    1. Remove the F/PMP relay from the engine room No. 1 R/B.
    2. Disconnect the E3 ECM connector.
    3. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

    Standard: 

    F/PMP RELAY - ECM - RESISTANCE TABLE

    Tester Connection Specified Condition
    R/B F/PMP relay terminal 1 - E3-15 (FPR) Below 1 Ω
    R/B F/PMP relay terminal 1 or E3-15 (FPR) - Body Ground 10 kΩ or higher

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 

    OK: REPLACE ECM (See  REPLACEMENT  )
