Signal Circuit Inspection

■ Open Or Short Check 

1. IG "OFF".
2. Disconnect ESC (ESP) switch harness connector.
3. IG "ON".
4. Measure voltage between signal terminal of the ESC (ESP) switch harness connector and chassis ground.

   Specification:  Approx. 0V

5. IG "OFF".
6. Disconnect ESC (ESP) switch harness connector.
7. Measure resistance between signal terminal of the ESC (ESP) switch harness connector and chassis ground.

   Specification:  Approx. ∞Ω

8. IG "OFF".
9. Disconnect ESC (ESP) switch and HECU harness connector.
10. Measure resistance between signal terminal of the ESC (ESP) switch and HECU.

    Specification:  Approx. below 1Ω

11. Is the measured value within specifications?

    YES 

    • Go to "COMPONENT INSPECTION " Procedure.

    NO 

    • Repair open or short in signal circuit and then, go to "SIGNAL CIRCUIT INSPECTION " procedure.
