Insulator, Engine Mount, Rear: Installation

  1. If removed, install the front crossmember isolator. Refer to ISOLATOR, FRONT CROSSMEMBER, TORSION, INSTALLATION .

  2. Position the rear insulator (1) between the engine mount bracket and the cradle.

  3. Install the rear insulator to engine mount bracket through bolt and nut (1) but do not tighten at this time.

  4. Install the rear insulator to cradle through bolt (2), align the rear isolator with the mark (1) made during removal and tighten the through bolt (2) to the proper torque specification. Refer to (TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS ).

  5. Verify that the reference dimension from the crossmember engine cradle to the powertrain is within 3 mm of the measurement taken during removal and tighten the rear insulator to engine mount bracket through bolt and nut (1) to the proper torque specification. Refer to (TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS ).

  6. Place the ground cable (2) in position on the transmission (3), install the ground cable bolt (1) and tighten to the proper torque specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
  7. Install the left front wheelhouse splash shield. Refer to INSTALLATION .
  8. If equipped, install the skid plate. Refer to PLATE, SKID, SIDE, INSTALLATION .
  9. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
