DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Signal low
  1. Poor Connection
  2. Short to ground in harness
  3. Faulty OTS
  4. ECM (PCM)
Enable Conditions
  • Engine running greater than 60 sec.
  • Coolant temperature is lower than 110°C (230°F)
Threshold value
  • Oil temperature sensor's signal represents short to ground.
Diagnosis Time
  • Continuous (More than 12.5 sec.failure for every 15 sec.test)
MIL On Condition
  • 2 Driving Cycles
