Installation Procedure

  1. Position the power steering pressure hose (2) to the vehicle.
    2. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  2. Connect the power steering pressure hose (2) to the power steering gear and tighten the fitting to 34 N.m (25 lb ft).
  3. Connect the power steering pressure hose (2) to the power steering pump (1) and tighten the fitting to 34 N.m (25 lb ft).
  4. Install the power steering pump pulley. Refer to Power Steering Pump Pulley Replacement (LS3, LS7) , Power Steering Pump Pulley Replacement (LS9) .
  5. Clean any excess power steering fluid from the vehicle and remove the drain pans.
  6. Fill and bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding .
