Sensor In The Climate Unit

A/C PRESSURE SENSOR

The coolant system uses a linear pressure sensor to control the regulation of the system. It also acts as a switch contact that shuts off the compressor if the pressure in the cooling system becomes too high or too low. The A/C pressure sensor also controls the engine cooling fan. The A/C pressure sensor is located in the high-pressure side of the cooling system immediately ahead of the condenser. In the engine compartment, the A/C pressure sensor is positioned on the inlet connection of the condenser.

NOTE:

The A/C pressure sensor is threaded onto the connection directly connected to the A/C coolant system. When removing or replacing the pressure sensor, the system must be drained of refrigerant. The system has no schrader valve.
