DESCRIPTION

*Customers may experience that the power operated tailgate have intermittent function or noise. If noted faulty drive units, drive units must be replaced in pairs and software download must be performed as the new software is not compatible with drive units produced before 2013w03.

PRODUCT MODIFICATION

*New Drive Units and supporting software went into production 2013w03. The new POT spindle has a new motor with different gear ratio and needs a different software. It is not possible to have one old POT and one new POT spindle due to the different gear ratio.

MATERIAL RETURN

Material for analysis can be requested in Vehicle Report. In other cases, follow normal routines.

VEHICLE REPORT

*Please follow the general TIE Reporting guidelines available in the TIE system under "Instructions" or the SPJ 27125 TIE Quick Guide (Dealers).

When submitting a Vehicle Report for a condition described in this TJ, use concern area "Vehicle Report and sub concern area "Support Needed" with function group 8321.

Replace drive units according to VIDA.
