Checking The Wiring And Component

Check the leads between Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) and clamping sensor in question. Also check the connector in Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) for loose connection and oxidation.

If the leads are intact, replace clamping sensor in question.

Remedy as necessary.

• YES 

  Refer to VERIFICATION 

• NO 

  Refer to CHECKING THE SENSOR 

Check the leads between Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) and the external handle. Also investigate the connector in Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) and the connector in the external handle with regards to loose connection and oxidation.

If the leads are intact, replace external handle.

Remedy as necessary.
