Connecting & Disconnecting Breakout Box: Notes

NOTE: The breakout box is designed to facilitate reading off the ECM input and output signals when the ECM is connected; and the cable and component resistance when the ECM is disconnected. The use of a breakout box reduces the risk of accidental short circuits and damage.
