• Drive Shafts, Boot Replacement (Aw50-42; 1998-1999)
  • Constant velocity joints, inner
    • Notes
    • Remove the constant velocity joints
      • Notes
      • Expose the outer constant velocity joint
      • Remove the constant velocity joint from the shaft
    • Remove the clamp from the inner boot if it is to be replaced.
    • Installing the drive shaft boots
      • Install the new boots on the drive shaft
      • Fit the boots

    • Remove the constant velocity joints

        • Expose the outer constant velocity joint
        • Remove the constant velocity joint from the shaft
      • Cleaning / checking the outer constant velocity joint

        • Remove the ball bearings.
        • Remove the bearing race and the inner ring from the shaft.
        • Wash the constant velocity joint components thoroughly.
        • Install the inner ring in the bearing race.
      • Greasing and installation
        • Lubricate the constant velocity joint thoroughly.
        • Install the new boots on the drive shaft
        • Fit the boots
