First go into diagnostic test mode (DTM) 5 and select the service parameter you want to change. Then read off the code stored and within 30 seconds go into diagnostic test mode (DTM) 6 and enter the new code. As follows:

• Switch on ignition.
• Select position 7 on data link connector (DLC) A.
• Press the button five  times, briefly but distinctly.

You are now in diagnostic test mode (DTM) 5.
