Checking the control module

• Ignition off.
• Connect control module.
• Ignition on.

  When the ignition is switched on the control module lights the ABS warning lamp. Check that the warning lamp goes out after approximately 2 seconds.

  NOTE:

  If a fault is registered the warning lamp will not go out.

Does the warning lamp light and go out shortly afterwards? 

• YES 

  Refer to Fault cause and checking for contact resistance and oxidation 

• NO 

  Refer to Replacing component
