General Description - Start/Stop System

The Start/Stop System reduces fuel consumption by turning off the engine when the vehicle is at a standstill and turning the engine back on when the driver starts to drive. The Stop/Start System activation occurs automatically. It occurs as soon as the vehicle starts to drive for approximately 4 seconds at speeds of at least 3 km/h (1.9 mph).
