Rear Side Door Window Frame Sealing Removal And Installation/Replacement

WARNING: Crushing by moving parts
Failure to follow specified procedures may result in death or serious injury due to movement of the window regulator.
  • Secure the component against uncontrolled movement.
  • Always use personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ensure vehicle is correctly disabled/powered down to prevent unexpected motion or activation of components.

Removal Procedure: 

The procedure for the left-hand component is identical to that for the right-hand side. 

  1. Remove rear side door window. Refer to REAR SIDE DOOR WINDOW REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
  2. Remove rear side door window inner sealing strip. Refer to REAR SIDE DOOR WINDOW INNER SEALING STRIP REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT 
  3. Remove rear side door window belt reveal molding. Refer to REAR SIDE DOOR WINDOW BELT REVEAL MOLDING REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT 
  4. Remove side door window frame decorative trim. Refer to SIDE DOOR WINDOW FRAME DECORATIVE TRIM REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
  5. Remove rear side door C-pillar trim. Refer to REAR SIDE DOOR C-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
  6. Remove rear side door B-pillar trim. Refer to REAR SIDE DOOR B-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT

  7. Pull off the window frame sealing (1) in the rear area in the direction of the arrow.

  8. Guide out the door window frame sealing (1) and remove.

Installation Procedure:

Slide the window frame seal in the direction of the arrow to retain it in the door.

Firmly press the window frame seal to ensure it is engaged all around.

Take note of the retaining feature on the rear edge.

  1. Installation is the reverse of removal procedure, noting the following.
  2. Remove rear side door B-pillar trim. Refer to REAR SIDE DOOR B-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
  3. Remove rear side door C-pillar trim. Refer to REAR SIDE DOOR C-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
  4. Remove side door window frame decorative trim. Refer to SIDE DOOR WINDOW FRAME DECORATIVE TRIM REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
  5. Remove rear side door window belt reveal molding. Refer to REAR SIDE DOOR WINDOW BELT REVEAL MOLDING REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT 
  6. Remove rear side door window inner sealing strip. Refer to REAR SIDE DOOR WINDOW INNER SEALING STRIP REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT 
  7. Remove rear side door window. Refer to REAR SIDE DOOR WINDOW REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
