- Only properly trained and authorized persons may carry out work on air conditioning systems.
- Always use personal protective equipment (PPE).
Removal Procedure:
- Recover refrigerant. Refer to REFRIGERANT RECOVERY AND RECHARGING (R-134A)
- Disconnect the 12V battery negative terminal. Refer to 12V BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION
- Remove front right wheelhouse liner. Refer to FRONT WHEELHOUSE LINER REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
- Remove bolt (1).
Torque: 8 Nm
- Pull the line (2) off of the compressor (3) and put aside.
Installation note: Replace O-ring and lubricate with refrigerant oil.
- Close opening with the sealing plug (1) to prevent dust and moisture from entering.
- Remove bolt (1).
Torque: 8 Nm
- Remove the A/C compressor adapter (2) upwards.
Installation note: Replace O-ring.
- Close opening with the sealing plug (1) to prevent dust and moisture from entering.
Installation Procedure:
- Installation is the reverse of removal procedure, noting the following.
All fasteners must be tightened to torque specification!
- Install front right wheelhouse liner. Refer to FRONT WHEELHOUSE LINER REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
- Reconnect the 12V battery negative terminal. Refer to 12V BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION
- Recharge refrigerant. Refer to REFRIGERANT RECOVERY AND RECHARGING (R-134A)
