12V Battery Negative Cable Removal And Installation/Replacement

- Read Warnings and Instructions before disconnecting the battery.
- Refer to DANGER AND WARNINGS
- Refer to General Warnings and Safety Regulations
Removal Procedure:
- Remove Front Trunk. Refer to FRONT TRUNK REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
- Loosen nut (1) do not remove it.
- Loosen nut (1) do not remove it.
Torque: 6 Nm
- Pull off the battery negative cable from the Battery negative terminal by carefully moving it to and fro. Do not pry using a tool.
- Move the battery negative cable to one side and secure.
- Remove nut (1).
Torque: 11 Nm
- Remove nut (2).
Torque: 8 Nm
- Unlock and disconnect electrical connector (3) from the battery sensor.
- Remove 12V Battery Negative Cable (1).
Replacement Procedure:
- Rebuild 12V Battery Current Sensor. Refer to 12V BATTERY CURRENT SENSOR REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
Installation Procedure:
- Installation is the reverse of removal procedure, noting the following All fasteners must be tightened to torque specification!
- Install Front Trunk. Refer to FRONT TRUNK REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
