Rear Side Door Window Channel Removal And Installation/Replacement

Failure to follow specified procedures may result in death or serious injury due to movement of the window regulator.

Secure the component against uncontrolled movement.
Always use personal protective equipment (PPE).
Ensure vehicle is correctly disabled/powered down to prevent unexpected motion or activation of components.

Removal Procedure:

The procedure for the left-hand component is identical to that for the right-hand side.

Close the side door window.
Remove the Rear Side Door Water Deflector. Refer to REAR SIDE DOOR WATER DEFLECTOR REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
Remove the Rear Side Door C-Pillar Trim. Refer to REAR SIDE DOOR C-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT

Remove 2 bolts.
Torque: 8 Nm

Pull the window channel (1) in the upper area off the window frame sealing (2).

Removal note: For better illustration the following step is shown with the door assembly removed.
Pull window frame sealing (1) off window channel (2).
Installation note: Make sure that the window frame sealing (1) is correctly seated in the window channel (2).

Guide out the window channel (1) out of the door cavity and remove it.

Installation note: Ensure that the window frame sealing (1) is correctly seated in the window channel (2).

Installation is the reverse of removal procedure, noting the following.
All fasteners must be tightened to torque specification!
Install the Rear Side Door C-Pillar Trim. Refer to REAR SIDE DOOR C-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
Install the Rear Side Door Water Deflector. Refer to REAR SIDE DOOR WATER DEFLECTOR REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
