DTC P111C-62: Control Module Internal Temperature Sensor/Intake Air Temperature Sensor Signal Compare Failure [06/2024 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK ANY OTHER DTCS OUTPUT (IN ADDITION TO DTC P111C-62)
    1. Read the DTCs and record the Freeze Frame Data.

Powertrain > Engine > Trouble Codes

      Result

      Result Proceed to
P111C-62 and other DTCs are output A
      P111C-62 is output B

      HINT:

If any DTCs other than P111C-62 are output, troubleshoot those DTCs first.

    Result:

GO TO DTC CHART. Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [06/2024 - ]

    Result:

    See step  2

  2. CHECK FREEZE FRAME DATA (INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE AND COOLANT TEMPERATURE)

    Pre-procedure1

    1. Using the GTS, read the values displayed in the freeze frame data recorded in step 1.

      Powertrain > Engine > DTC(P111C-62) > Freeze Frame Data

      Tester Display
      Coolant Temperature
      Intake Air Temperature
      Engine ECU Internal Temperature

      Procedure1

    2. Read the value displayed on the GTS.

      Result

      Result Proceed to
The difference between the value of Intake Air Temperature and Coolant Temperature is -15 °C or more and 15 °C or less A
None of the above conditions are met B

      HINT:

      • -15 °C = -27 °F
      • 15 °C = 27 °F
      • When the engine is cold, the value of the Intake Air Temperature, Engine ECU Internal Temperature and Coolant Temperature should be approximately the same.

      Post-procedure1

    3. None.

    Result:

REPLACE ECM. Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2024 - ]

    Result:

REPLACE MASS AIR FLOW METER SUB-ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2024 - ]
