Inspection [11/2021 - ]: Procedure
- INSPECT VSC OFF SWITCH (PATTERN SELECT SWITCH ASSEMBLY)
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
VSC OFF SWITCHTester Connection Condition Specified Condition 5 - 8 Switch off 1 MΩ or more Switch on Less than 1 Ω TRACK SWITCHTester Connection Condition Specified Condition 1 - 8 Switch off 1 MΩ or more Switch on Less than 1 Ω *a Component without harness connected
(VSC OFF Switch (Pattern Select Switch Assembly)) - Check the illumination.
- Connect a positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 2 and a negative (-) lead to terminal 3 of the VSC OFF switch (pattern select switch assembly) connector.NOTE:
When applying battery voltage, do not mix up the positive (+) side and the negative (-) side. Incorrect polarity connection may cause LED damage inside the switch.
- Check that the VSC OFF switch (pattern select switch assembly) illumination illuminates.
OK
VSC OFF switch illumination illuminates.
- Connect a positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 2 and a negative (-) lead to terminal 3 of the VSC OFF switch (pattern select switch assembly) connector.
- If the result is not as specified, replace the VSC OFF switch (pattern select switch assembly).
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
