Removal [08/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Off Road Package) 
  2. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
  3. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  4. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [08/2015 - 11/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [11/2017 - ]

  5. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP AND HOSE 
    1. Disconnect the connector from the mass air flow meter.

    2. Disengage the 2 clamps to separate the wire harness.
    3. Slide the hose clip and disconnect the No. 2 ventilation hose from the air cleaner hose.

    4. Loosen the hose clamp and disconnect the air cleaner hose from the throttle body with motor assembly.
    5. Disengage the 2 clamp hooks from the air cleaner case sub-assembly.
    6. Disengage the 2 guides to remove the air cleaner cap and hose from the air cleaner case sub-assembly.
  6. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Slide the hose clip and disconnect the No. 4 water by-pass hose from the throttle body with motor assembly.

    2. Slide the hose clip and disconnect the No. 5 water by-pass hose from the throttle body with motor assembly.

    3. Disconnect the connector from the throttle body with motor assembly.

    4. Remove the 4 bolts and throttle body with motor assembly from the intake air surge tank assembly.
    5. Remove the gasket from the intake air surge tank assembly.
