Inspection [11/2020 - 12/2022]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT BRAKE HOLD SWITCH (ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE SWITCH ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      *a Component without harness connected
      (Brake Hold Switch (Electric Parking Brake Switch Assembly))

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition Result
      D51-10(+B) - D51-12(E) Switch pushed Below 1 Ω Ω
      D51-10(+B) - D51-12(E) Switch not pushed 10 kΩ or higher kΩ

      If the result is not as specified, replace the brake hold switch.

    2. Apply battery voltage to the connector and check the illumination conditions.

      OK

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D51-9(ILL+) - D51-6(ILL-) D51-9(ILL+) - Auxiliary battery positive (+)
      D51-6(ILL-) - Auxiliary battery negative (-)
      Illuminates

      If the result is not as specified, replace the brake hold switch.
