Removal [03/2019 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE UPPER FRONT SUSPENSION CENTER BRACE 

    Refer to REMOVAL [03/2019 - ]

  2. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER PROTECTOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10

  3. REMOVE NO. 2 COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER PROTECTOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11

  4. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12

  5. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13

  6. REMOVE CAM TIMING OIL CONTROL SOLENOID ASSEMBLY 
    1. Unlock and disconnect both connectors (1).

      HINT: 

      The figure shows the rear side of the engine.

    2. Position each SST correctly on the cam timing oil control solenoid assembly.
      • SST: 09960-10010 
        1. 09962-01000
        2. 09963-00350

      HINT: 

      The figure shows the rear side of the engine.

    3. Using SST, turn the cam timing oil control solenoid assembly on intake adjuster (1) by approx. 50° in the direction of the arrow and remove it.

      • SST: 09960-10010 
        1. 09962-01000
        2. 09963-00350
    4. Using SST, turn the cam timing oil control solenoid assembly on exhaust camshaft adjuster (1) by approx. 50° in the direction of the arrow and remove it.
