Inspection [09/2019 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT VSC OFF SWITCH 
    1. Make sure that there is no looseness in the locking part and the connecting part of the connector.

      *a Component without harness connected
      (VSC OFF Switch)
    2. Disconnect the VSC OFF switch connector.
    3. Check both the connector case and the terminal for deformation and corrosion.

      OK

      No deformation or corrosion.

    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      6 (+) - 3 (E) Switch pushed Below 1 Ω
      6 (+) - 3 (E) Switch not pushed 10 kΩ or higher

      If the result is not as specified, replace the VSC OFF switch.

    5. Check the illumination.
      1. Apply battery voltage to the VSC OFF switch illumination terminals.

        OK

        Measurement Condition Specified Condition
        Battery positive (+) → 5 (ILL+)
        Battery negative (-) → 4 (ILL-)        		 Illuminates

        If the result is not as specified, replace the VSC OFF switch.
