Removal [10/2022 - ]: Procedure

  1. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT 

    Refer to REPLACEMENT [12/2021 - ]

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Grille Shutter) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 26 [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 26 [10/2023 - ]

  3. REMOVE INLET AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY (w/ Grille Shutter) 

    See step  3

  4. REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE (w/ Grille Shutter) 

    See step  4

  5. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR (w/ Grille Shutter) 
    1. Disconnect the No. 2 engine coolant temperature sensor connector.

    2. Remove the clip and No. 2 engine coolant temperature sensor from the water outlet.

      NOTE:

      If the No. 2 engine coolant temperature sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it.

  6. REMOVE INVERTER WITH CONVERTER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to REMOVAL [10/2023 - ]

  7. REMOVE ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR 
    1. Disconnect the engine coolant temperature sensor connector.

    2. Remove the clip and engine coolant temperature sensor from the water outlet.
      NOTE:

      If the engine coolant temperature sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it.
