INSPECT IF MALFUNCTION CAUSE IS OPEN CIRCUIT IN WIRING HARNESS BETWEEN ENGINE STOP AND START ECU DOOR LOCK LINK SWITCH (DRIVER-SIDE)

Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Refer to INSTALLATION
Disconnect the engine stop and start ECU and front door lock connector.
Inspect for continuity between the following terminals (vehicle wiring harness).
- Engine stop and start ECU terminal D6-24 and front door lock link switch terminal F18-8

INSPECT IF MALFUNCTION CAUSE IS SHORT TO GROUND IN WIRING HARNESS BETWEEN ENGINE STOP AND START ECU AND DOOR LOCK LINK SWITCH (DRIVER-SIDE)

Verify that the engine stop and start ECU connector is disconnected.
Inspect for continuity between the following wiring harness terminals (vehicle wiring harness side) and body ground.
- Engine stop and start ECU terminal D6-24 and ground

INSPECT IF MALFUNCTION CAUSE IS OPEN CIRCUIT IN WIRING HARNESS BETWEEN ENGINE STOP AND START ECU AND GROUND

Verify that the engine stop and start ECU connector is disconnected.
Inspect for continuity between the following terminals (vehicle wiring harness).
- Engine stop and start ECU terminal D4-1 and ground
- Engine stop and start ECU terminal D6-32 and ground
- Engine stop and start ECU terminal D4-13 and ground
