INSPECT IF MALFUNCTION CAUSE IS OPEN CIRCUIT IN WIRING HARNESS BETWEEN ENGINE STOP AND START ECU AND ENGINE SWITCH

Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Refer to INSTALLATION
Disconnect the engine stop and start ECU and engine switch connector.
Inspect for continuity between the following terminals (vehicle wiring harness).
- Engine stop and start ECU terminal D6-20 and engine switch terminal D32-2
- Engine stop and start ECU terminal D4-17 and engine switch terminal D32-5

INSPECT IF MALFUNCTION CAUSE IS OPEN CIRCUIT IN WIRING HARNESS BETWEEN ENGINE STOP AND START ECU AND GROUND

Verify that the engine stop and start ECU connector is disconnected.
Inspect for continuity between the following terminals (vehicle wiring harness).
- Engine stop and start ECU terminal D6-32 and ground
- Engine stop and start ECU terminal D4-13 and ground
- Engine stop and start ECU terminal D4-1 and ground
