DTC U3000-42: Control Module general memory failure: Procedure

  1. VERIFY IF MALFUNCTIONING LOCATION IS NAVIGATION RECEIVER DEPENDING ON REPEATABILITY 
    1. Clear the DTC for the navigation receiver using the Techstream.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR

      Body Electrical > Connectivity Master Unit > Clear DTCs 

    2. Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on) and wait for 7 s or more.
    3. Retrieve the navigation receiver DTCs using the Techstream.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR

      Body Electrical > Connectivity Master Unit > Trouble Codes 

    4. Is the same DTC displayed?

    Result: 

    Yes

    Result: 

    No 

    See step  2

  2. VERIFY IF OTHER DTCS DISPLAYED 
    1. Are any other DTCs displayed?

    Result: 

    No 

    DTC TROUBLESHOOTING COMPLETED. 

    Result: 

    Yes 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE THE MALFUNCTIONING PART ACCORDING TO THE APPLICABLE DTC TROUBLESHOOTING. 

    1. Refer to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART
  3. REPLACE THE NAVIGATION RECEIVER. 
    1. Refer to REMOVAL
