Removal [08/2016 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END LH 
  2. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  3. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER (for AWD) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  4. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (for 2WD) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  5. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (for AWD) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  6. REMOVE HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 2) 
    1. Using SST, remove the heated oxygen sensor (for bank 2) from the front exhaust pipe assembly.

      *A for 2WD
      *B for AWD
      • SST: 09224-00012 
      NOTE:

      If a component has been dropped or subjected to a strong impact, replace heated oxygen sensor (for bank 2).

  7. REMOVE HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 1) 
    1. for 2WD:

      *A for 2WD
      *B for AWD
      • SST: 09224-00012 
      1. Using SST, remove the heated oxygen sensor (for bank 1) from the front exhaust pipe assembly.
        NOTE:

        If a component has been dropped or subjected to a strong impact, replace heated oxygen sensor (for bank 1).

    2. for AWD:
      1. Using SST, remove the heated oxygen sensor (for bank 1) from the No. 3 exhaust pipe sub-assembly.
        • SST: 09224-00012 
        NOTE:

        If a component has been dropped or subjected to a strong impact, replace heated oxygen sensor (for bank 1).
