How To Proceed With Troubleshooting [11/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP

  2. INSPECT AUXILIARY BATTERY VOLTAGE 
    1. Measure the auxiliary battery voltage with the ignition switch off.

      Standard Voltage

      11 to 14 V

      If the voltage is below 11 V, replace or recharge the auxiliary battery before proceeding to the next step.

  3. CHECK COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF CONTROLLER AREA NETWORK (CAN)* 
    1. Use the Techstream to check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally.

      CAN DTC is output (w/ Toyota Safety Sense C) C

  4. CHECK FOR DTC* 

    Refer to DTC Check / Clear DTC CHECK / CLEAR [11/2015 - ] ).

    1. Check for DTCs and note any codes that are output.
    2. Clear the DTCs.
    3. Recheck for DTCs. Try to reproduce the DTCs by duplicating the conditions indicated by the DTCs.
