General Maintenance [06/2016 - 07/2018]: Procedure

HINT: 

Work in a well-lighted area. Turn the front wheels fully to the right or left before beginning the inspection.

1. Using a mirror, check the entire circumference and length of the brake lines and hoses for:
   • Damage
   • Wear
   • Deformation
   • Cracks
   • Bends
   • Corrosion
   • Leaks
   • Twists
2. Check all the clamps for tightness and connections for leakage.
3. Check that the hoses and lines are not near sharp edges, moving parts or the exhaust system.
4. Check that the lines are installed properly and pass through the center of the grommets.

1. Check the brake pedal (Refer to ADJUSTMENT [06/2016 - ] for Automatic Transmission, Refer to ADJUSTMENT [06/2016 - ] for Manual Transmission).

1. Check the parking brake shoe clearance and parking brake lever travel (Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 ).
2. Check the parking brake cables to ensure that they are not deformed or binding.

1. Check the parking brake linings and drums.

1. Check the front brake pads and discs (Refer to INSPECTION [06/2016 - ] ).

1. Check the rear brake pads and discs (Refer to INSPECTION [06/2016 - ] ).

1. Inspect or change the brake fluid (Refer to REPLACEMENT [06/2016 - 07/2018] ).
