Cruise Main Indicator Light Circuit: Procedure

  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (CRUISE CONTROL INDICATOR LIGHT) 
    1. Select the item below in the Active Test, and then check that the cruise control indicator light illuminates. Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST .
      COMBINATION METER

      Tester Display Test Part Control Range Diagnostic Note
      Indicat. Rader Cruise Cruise control indicator light ON/OFF Confirm that the vehicle is stopped with the engine idling.

      OK

      Cruise control indicator light turns on/off.

    NG → See step   4 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (CRUISE CONTROL INDICATOR LIGHT) 
    1. Use the Data List to check if the cruise control switch is functioning properly. Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST .
      RADAR CRUISE

      Tester Display Measurement Item/Range Normal Condition Diagnostic Note
      Main SW M-CPU Cruise control switch (Main CPU) signal / OFF or ON OFF: Cruise control switch off
      ON: Cruise control switch on
      -

      OK

      On screen, item changes between ON and OFF according to above chart.

    NG → See step   5 

    OK → See step   3 

  3. PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 
  4. GO TO METER / GAUGE SYSTEM. Refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 
  5. REPLACE ECM. Refer to  REMOVAL
