Front Passenger Airbag Assembly: Removal: Removal

PRECAUTION
WARNING:
Be sure to read the "PRECAUTION" thoroughly before servicing. Refer to PRECAUTION .
REMOVE TIRE PRESSURE MONITOR ECU
Refer to REMOVAL - Step 44 .
DISCONNECT INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE ASSEMBLY
1. Disconnect the connector.

  NOTE:
  When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.
REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 46 .
REMOVE NO. 2 SIDE DEFROSTER NOZZLE DUCT . Refer to DISASSEMBLY - Step 5 .
REMOVE NO. 3 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT . Refer to DISASSEMBLY - Step 3 .
REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE ASSEMBLY
1. Remove the clip.

2. Disconnect the 2 connectors from the front passenger airbag assembly.
  NOTE:
  When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.
REMOVE FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY
1. Remove the 2 screws.
2. Release the rear side airbag door from the hook by slightly deflecting it and roll the front passenger airbag assembly forward.

3. Release the front side airbag door from the other hook and remove the front passenger airbag assembly.
INSPECT FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY
