Terminals Of Ecu

  1. CHECK ECU AGGREGATION BOX (CERTIFICATION ECU)

    1. Disconnect the E84 ECU connector.
    2. Measure the resistance and voltage of the wire harness side connector.
      Symbols (Terminal No.) Wiring Color Terminal Description Condition Specified Condition
      E (E84-17) - Body ground W-B - Body ground Ground Always Below 1 Ω
      +B1 (E84-1) - Body ground R - Body ground +B power supply Always 11 to 14 V
      IG (E84-18) - Body ground B - Body ground Ignition power supply Engine switch off Below 1 V
      Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      TSW1 (E84-3) - E (E84-17) V - W-B Door outside handle (driver side) lock switch signal Switch released 10 kΩ or higher
      Switch pressed in Below 1 Ω
      TSW2 (E84-4) - E (E84-17) R - W-B Door outside handle (passenger side) lock switch signal Switch released 10 kΩ or higher
      Switch pressed in Below 1 Ω
      TSW9 (E84-7) - E (E84-17) LG - W-B Back door outside handle unlock switch signal Switch released 10 kΩ or higher
      Switch pressed in Below 1 Ω
      LIN (E84-10) - E (E84-17) V - W-B LIN line Always 10 kΩ or higher
      • If the result is not as specified, the wire harness side may have a malfunction.
    3. Reconnect the E84 ECU connector.
    4. Measure the voltage of the connector.

      CLG1 (E84-33) - CG1B (E84-34) R - B Door electrical key oscillator (driver side) sensor signal All doors closed, all doors locked and engine switch off Alternating between 5 V and below 1 V

      SEN1 (E84-22) - E (E84-17) R - W-B Touch sensor detection signal Outside door handle touched Below 1 V
      Outside door handle not touched 11 to 14 V
      SEL1 (E84-5) - E (E84-17) Y - W-B Touch sensor activation control signal Key at least 3 m (9.8 ft.) away from door 11 to 14 V
      Close to door Below 1 V
      CLG2 (E84-35) - CG2B (E84-36) B - R Door electrical key oscillator (passenger side) sensor signal All doors closed, all doors locked and engine switch off Alternating between 5 V and below 1 V

      RCO (E84-29) - E (E84-17) V - W-B Door control receiver input Engine switch off, all doors closed and transmitter switch not pressed → pressed 5 to Below 1 V → 5 V
      RSSI (E84-39) - E (E84-17) R - W-B Door control receiver output Engine switch off, all doors closed and transmitter switch not pressed → pressed 11 to 14 V → Below 1 V
      RDA (E84-38) - E (E84-17) Y - W-B Door control receiver input Engine switch off, all doors closed and transmitter switch not pressed 11 to 14 V pulse generation at regular intervals
      Engine switch off, all doors closed and transmitter switch pressed Pulse generation
      • If the result is not as specified, the ECU may have a malfunction.
  2. CHECK DOOR ELECTRICAL KEY OSCILLATOR (for FRONT DOOR)

    1. Disconnect the f2 or g2 oscillator connector.
    2. Measure the resistance and voltage of the wire harness side connector.
      FRONT DOOR LH SIDE:

      Symbols (Terminal No.) Wiring Color Terminal Description Condition Specified Condition
      GND (g2-7) - Body ground BR - Body ground Ground Always Below 1 Ω
      +B (g2-1) - GND (g2-7) Y - BR +B power supply Always 11 to 14 V
      FRONT DOOR RH SIDE:

      GND (f2-7) - Body ground BR - Body ground Ground Always Below 1 Ω
      +B (f2-1) - GND (f2-7) Y - BR +B power supply Always 11 to 14 V
      • If the result is not as specified, the wire harness side may have a malfunction.
    3. Reconnect the f2 or g2 oscillator connector.
    4. Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connector.
      FRONT DOOR LH SIDE:

      CLG (g2-10) - GND (g2-7) R - BR Door electrical key oscillator (driver side) sensor signal All doors closed, all doors locked and engine switch off Alternating between 5 V and below 1 V

  3. CHECK DOOR ELECTRICAL KEY OSCILLATOR (for Back Door)

    1. Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connector.
      Symbols (Terminal No.) Wiring Color Terminal Description Condition Specified Condition
      CLG (Q11-10) - CLGB (Q11-5) B - W Door electrical key oscillator (back door) sensor signal Back door unlock switch OFF Alternating between 5 V and below 1 V
      Back door unlock switch ON Below 1 V
      • If the result is not as specified, the oscillator may have a malfunction.
  4. CHECK INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK (MAIN BODY ECU)

    1. Disconnect the ID, IE and IF junction block connectors.
    2. Disconnect the E15, E16 and E17 ECU connectors.
    3. Measure the resistance and voltage of the wire harness side connectors.

      GND1(IE-17) - Body ground W-B - Body ground Ground Always Below 1 Ω
      GND2 (E16-4) - Body ground W-B - Body ground Ground Always Below 1 Ω

      AM2 (E15-6) - Body ground W - Body ground +B power supply Always 11 to 14 V
      IG (IF-3) - Body ground P - Body ground IG1 signal Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      Engine switch off Below 1 V
      ACC (IF-5) - Body ground W - Body ground ACC signal Engine switch on (ACC) 11 to 14 V
      CANH (E17-15) - Body ground R - Body ground CAN communication line Always 10 kΩ or higher
      CANL (E17-16) - Body ground W - Body ground CAN communication line Always 10 kΩ or higher
      LIN1 (ID-9) - Body ground V - Body ground LIN communication line Always 10 kΩ or higher
      • If the result is not as specified, the wire harness side may have a malfunction.
    4. Reconnect the IB, ID, IE and IF junction block connectors.
    5. Reconnect the E15, E16 and E17 ECU connectors.
    6. Measure the voltage of the connectors.
