DTC B2071: Stop Light Control Relay Malfunction: Procedure

  1. CHECK DTC (CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM) 
    1. Use the Techstream to check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally. Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING .

      OK

      DTC U0122 is not output.

      HINT: 

      DTC U0122: Lost Communication with Skid Control ECU

    NG → See step   5 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK DTC (VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM) 
    1. Using the Techstream, enter the following menus: Chassis / ABS/VSC/TRAC / Trouble Code.
    2. Clear the DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
    3. Check for DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .

      OK

      DTC C1380 is not output.

      HINT: 

      DTC C1380: Stop Light Control Relay Malfunction

    NG → See step   6 

    OK: Go to next step 

  3. CHECK DTC (PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM) 
    1. Using the Techstream, enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Pre-Collision / Trouble Code.
    2. Clear the DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
    3. Check for DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .

      OK

      DTC B2071 is not output.

    NG → See step   7 

    OK → See step   4 

  4. USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING 
  5. GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (DTC U0122). Refer to  DTC U0122: Lost Communication with Vehicle Dynamics Control Module; DTC U0129: Lost Communication with Brake System Control Module 
  6. GO TO VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM (DTC C1380). Refer to  DTC C1380/64: Stop Light Control Relay Malfunction 
  7. REPLACE SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU. Refer to  REMOVAL
