Check Mode Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2009 Toyota Prius. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. CHECK MODE (SIGNAL CHECK): DTC CHECK
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch ON (IG).
    3. Select the SIGNAL CHECK, and proceed to check with the Techstream.
NOTE: Select the SIGNAL CHECK from the DTC CHECK screen displayed on the Techstream to clear the output DTCs (both present and past).

      HINT:

      • DTCs can be detected more sensitively in check mode than in normal diagnosis mode.
      • Perform the check mode inspection when a malfunction in each squib circuit is suspected even after the normal system code is output through the normal diagnosis mode inspection.
