Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT FUSES (AMP, ACC) 
    1. Remove the AMP fuse from the engine room junction block.
    2. Remove the ACC fuse from the main body ECU.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      AMP fuse Always Below 1 Ω
      ACC fuse
    4. Install the fuses.

    NG: REPLACE FUSES

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the I17 and I16 stereo component amplifier assembly connectors.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I16-2 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      I16-6 (GND2) - Body ground
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      I16-1 (+B) - I16-2 (GND) Always 11 to 14V
      I16-3 (+B2) - I16-2 (GND)
      I17-12 (ACC) - I16-2 (GND) Ignition switch ACC
    4. Reconnect the stereo component amplifier assembly connectors.

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  )
