    2. Press the preset switch "3" to change to "Detailed Information Mode".
    3. Identify the component shown by the sub-code.

      HINT:

      • "190 (radio receiver)" is the component shown by the subcode in the example shown in the illustration.
      • For details of the DTC display, refer to "DTC Check/Clear" (See DTC CHECK/CLEAR  ).
  2. CHECK COMPONENT SHOWN BY SUB-CODE
    1. Select the component which has stored this code.

      HINT:

The "Bluetooth" handsfree module is built into the radio receiver assembly. If there is a problem between the "Bluetooth" handsfree module and radio receiver assembly, replace the radio receiver assembly.

      Component Table

      COMPONENT REFERENCE

      Component Proceed to
      Except "Bluetooth" handsfree module A
      "Bluetooth" handsfree module B

B: REPLACE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL  )

    A: Go to next step

  3. CHECK POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT OF COMPONENT SHOWN BY SUB-CODE
    1. Inspect the power source circuit of the component shown by the sub-code.

      HINT:

If the power source circuit is operating normally, proceed to the next step.

      Component Table

      COMPONENT REFERENCE

      Component Proceed to
Stereo component amplifier (440) Stereo Component Amplifier Power Source Circuit (See STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT  )
Television display (1B0)* Television Display Assembly Power Source Circuit (See TELEVISION DISPLAY POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT  )
      HINT:
*: w/ Rear Seat Entertainment System
  4. INSPECT RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY
    1. Disconnect the I4 and I8* radio receiver assembly connectors.

      HINT:

*: w/ Rear Seat Entertainment System

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I4-5 (ATX+) - I4-15 (ATX-) Always 60 to 80 Ω
      I8-9 (TXM+) - I8-10 (TXM-)* Always 60 to 80 Ω
      HINT:
*: w/ Rear Seat Entertainment System
    3. Reconnect the radio receiver assembly connectors.

    HINT:

    • Start the check from the circuit that is near the component shown by the sub-code first.
    • For details of the connectors, refer to "Terminals of ECU" (See TERMINALS OF ECU  ).
    1. Referring to the AVC-LAN wiring diagram below, check the AVC-LAN circuit between the radio receiver assembly and the component shown by the sub-code.
      1. Disconnect all connectors between the radio receiver assembly and the component shown by the sub-code.
      2. Check for an open or short in the AVC-LAN circuit between the radio receiver assembly and the component shown by the sub-code.

OK: There is no open or short circuit.

NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    OK: Go to next step

  6. REPLACE COMPONENT SHOWN BY SUB-CODE
    1. Replace the component shown by the sub-code with a normal one and check if the same problem occurs again.

OK: Same problem does not occur.

NG: REPLACE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL  )

    OK: END
