Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the navigation receiver assembly connector.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard Voltage 

    VOLTAGE SPECIFICATION

    Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
    E106-5 (REV) - Body ground Ignition switch ON Shift lever Is In R 11 to 14 V
    E106-5 (REV) - Body ground Ignition switch ON Shift lever is In any position except R Below 1 V

    NG: Go to step 2 

    OK: REPLACE NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION RECEIVER - BACK-UP LIGHT SWITCH, PNP SWITCH) 
    1. Disconnect the navigation receiver assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the back-up light switch*1 or the park/neutral position switch*2.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard Resistance: 

    for Manual Transaxle 

    RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION

    Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
    E106-5 (REV) - B5-1*3 Always Below 1 Ω
    E106-5 (REV) - B60-1*4 Always Below 1 Ω
    E106-5 (REV) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    for Automatic Transaxle 

    RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION

    Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
    E106-5 (REV) - B88-1 (RL) Always Below 1 Ω
    E106-5 (REV) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    HINT:

    • *1: for Manual Transaxle
    • *2: for Automatic Transaxle
    • *3: for 2AZ-FE
    • *4: for 2ZR-FE

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    OK: Go to next step 

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BACK-UP LIGHT SWITCH, PNP SWITCH BATTERY) 
    1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard Voltage: 

    for Manual Transaxle 

    VOLTAGE SPECIFICATION

    Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
    B5-2 - Body ground*3 Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V
    B60-2 - Body ground*4 Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V

    for Automatic Transaxle 

    VOLTAGE SPECIFICATION

    Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
    B88-2 - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V

    HINT:

    • *1: for Manual Transaxle
    • *2: for Automatic Transaxle
    • *3: for 2AZ-FE
    • *4: for 2ZR-FE

    B: REPLACE BACK-UP LIGHT SWITCH (for C59 Manual Transaxle)  (See REMOVAL )

    C: REPLACE BACK-UP LIGHT SWITCH (for E351 Manual Transaxle)  (See REMOVAL )

    D: REPLACE PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH (for U250E Automatic Transaxle)  (See REMOVAL )

    E: REPLACE PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH (for U341E Automatic Transaxle)  (See TYPICAL ENABLING CONDITIONS )

    A: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
