Inspection Procedure

- READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (ACC RELAY MONITOR)
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the engine switch on (IG) and turn the Techstream on.
- Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.
- Read the display on the Techstream.
Main Body
MAIN BODY - DATA LISTTester Display Measurement Item/Range Normal Condition Diagnostic Note ACC Relay Monitor ACC relay monitor/ON or OFF ON: Engine switch on (ACC)
OFF: Engine switch off- OK:
When the engine switch is turned on (ACC), ON is displayed on the Techstream.
NG: Go to step 3
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK SWITCH CONDITION (ENGINE SWITCH)
- Make sure that the electrical key is inside the cabin.
- With the shift lever in P, check that the power source mode changes as shown below each time the engine switch is pushed.
OK:
off → on (ACC) → on (IG) → off
NG: GO TO POWER SOURCE MODE DOES NOT CHANGE (See )
OK: USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK (See ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT INSPECTION PROCEDURE )
- INSPECT ACC RELAY
- Remove the ACC relay from the No. 5 relay block.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONTester Connection Condition Specified Condition 3-5 Battery voltage is applied to terminals 1 and 2 Below 1 Ω 3-5 Battery voltage is not applied to terminals 1 and 2 10 kΩ or higher NG: REPLACE ACC RELAY
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ACC RELAY - MAIN BODY ECU AND BODY GROUND)
- Remove the ACC relay from the No. 5 relay block.
- Disconnect the E15 main body ECU connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONTester Connection Condition Specified Condition Relay block ACC relay terminal 1 - E15-4 (ACCD) Always Below 1 Ω Relay block ACC relay terminal 2 - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω Relay block ACC relay terminal 1 or E15-4 (ACCD) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
