Inspection Procedure

HINT:

After the inspection is completed, clear the DTCs.

1. CHECK IF A PROPER CD IS INSERTED 
   1. Make sure that the CD is an audio CD or a CD with MP3 or WMA files, and that it is not deformed, flawed, stained, burred, or otherwise defective.

      OK: 

      Normal CD 

      HINT:

      • Translucent or uniquely-shaped CDs cannot be played.
      • CDs with adhesive paper labels should not be played.
      • Commercial audio CDs can be played.
      • CD-DA files on CD-ROMs, CD-Rs, and CD-RWs can be played.
      • MP3 and WMA files on CD-ROMs, CD-Rs, and CD-RWs can be played.
      • For details on playable CDs, refer to the Owner's Manual.

        NG: CHANGE DISC 

        OK: Go to Next Step 

2. REPLACE CD AND RECHECK 
   1. Replace the CD and recheck.
      1. Replace the CD with a known good one.
      2. Clear the DTCs (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR  ).
      3. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same trouble occurs again.

         OK: 

         Malfunction disappears  .

         NG: REPLACE RADIO RECEIVER  (See REMOVAL  )

         OK: END
