Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT FUSE (TI & TE) 
    1. Remove the TI & TE fuse from the main body ECU.
    2. Measure the resistance of the fuse.

      Standard Resistance 

      RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      TI & TE fuse Always Below 1 Ω

    NG: REPLACE FUSE 

    OK: Go to next step. 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTIPLEX TILT AND TELESCOPIC ECU BATTERY) 
    1. Disconnect the E27 connector from the multiplex tilt and telescopic ECU.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value (s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage 

      VOLTAGE SPECIFICATION

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E27-2 (+B) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    OK: Go to next step. 

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTIPLEX TILT AND TELESCOPIC ECU - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance 

      RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E27-11 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    OK: CHECK IG POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT  (See INSPECTION PROCEDURE  )
