System Outline

Key Reminder 

* If the driver door is opened (driver door courtesy light switch : ON) while the key is still inserted in the ignition key cylinder (key unlock warning switch : ON) and the ignition switch is in the OFF (LOCK) position, the main body ECU sends signals to the combination meter through CAN communication. The meter computer interprets the signals and sounds the multi buzzer intermittently in order to warn the driver that the ignition key has not been removed.

* The buzzer stops as soon as the ignition switch is turned ON, the driver door is closed or the key is pulled out.
