Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK DTC 
    1. Check DTC.

      Result 

      RESULT CHART

      Result Proceed to
      DTC C1300/62 is output (only C1300/62) A
      Other DTC is output B

    B : REPAIR CIRCUIT INDICATED BY OUTPUT DTC 

    A: Go to next step 

  2. INSPECT SKID CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR (IG1 TERMINAL VOLTAGE) 
    1. Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.
    2. Turn the ignition switch on (IG).
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Voltage 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A40-18 (IG1) - Body ground Ignition switch on (IG) 10 to 14 V

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (IG1 CIRCUIT)

    OK: Go to next step 

  3. INSPECT SKID CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR (GND TERMINAL CONTINUITY) 
    1. Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      A40-4 (GND1) - Body ground Below 1 Ω
      A40-1 (GND2) - Body ground Below 1 Ω

    NG: CHECK AND REPAIR HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (GND CIRCUIT)

    OK: Go to next step 

  4. READ VALUE OF TECHSTREAM (IG VOLTAGE) 
    1. Connect Telecaster to the DLC3.
    2. Start the engine.
    3. Select "DATA LIST" on Telecaster.

      DATA LIST: ABS / VSC / TRAC 

      DATA LIST

      Item Measurement Item / Range (Display) Normal condition
      ECU IG Power Voltage ECU power supply voltage / TOO LOW, NORMAL or TOO HIGH TOO HIGH: 14.0 V or over
      NORMAL: 9.5 V to 14.0 V
      TOO LOW: Below 9.5 V
    4. Read the voltage condition output from the ECU displayed on Telecaster.

      OK: 

      "NORMAL" is displayed. 

    NG: REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY 

    OK : END
