Heated Oxygen Sensor: Installation

  1. INSTALL HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 1 Sensor 2) 
    1. Using SST, install the sensor.

      Torque: 

      without SST 

      44 N*m (449 kgf*cm, 32 ft.*lbf) 

      with SST 

      40 N*m (408 kgf*cm, 30 ft.*lbf) 

      HINT:

      • Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 30 cm (11.8 in.). If using a torque wrench with a length that is not 30 cm (11.8 in.), calculate the torque specification for the torque wrench and SST based on the "without SST" torque specification (see PRECAUTION ).
      • Make sure SST and wrench are connected in a straight line.

  2. INSTALL HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 2 Sensor 2) 
    1. Using SST, install the sensor.

      Torque: 

      without SST 

      44 N*m (449 kgf*cm, 32 ft.*lbf) 

      with SST 

      40 N*m (408 kgf*cm, 30 ft.*lbf) 

      HINT:

  3. INSTALL FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY  (see INSTALLATION  )
  4. INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (except Regular Cab Standard Deck)  (see INSTALLATION  )
  5. INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (for Regular Cab Standard Deck)  (see INSTALLATION  )
  6. INSTALL FRONT NO. 3 EXHAUST PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Regular Cab Standard Deck)  (see INSTALLATION  )
  7. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE: Some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (see INITIALIZATION ).
