Inspection Procedure

1. Check that the front washer operates.

   OK: Washer function is normal. 

NG: Go to WIPER AND WASHER SYSTEM (Front washer motor does not operate.)  (See WIPER AND WASHER SYSTEM )

OK: Go to next step. 

1. Disconnect the D2 distance control ECU connector and C12 windshield wiper switch connector.
2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard resistance 

   RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION
   
   

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   D2-3 (WASH) - C12-11 (WF)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   C12-11 (WF) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  )
