Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT RELAY (ST Relay) 
    1. Remove the starter relay.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance 

      RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      3 - 5 10 kΩ or higher
      3 - 5 Below 1 Ω (when battery voltage is applied to terminals 1 and 2)

    NG: REPLACE RELAY

    OK : Go to Next Step 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TVIP ECU - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the T3 TVIP ECU connector.
    2. Turn the ignition switch START.
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard voltage 

      VOLTAGE SPECIFICATION

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      SRLY (T3-21) - Body ground 10 to 14 V

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    OK : REPLACE TVIP ECU
