Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (TELEVISION CAMERA ECU - PARK / NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH) 
    1. Disconnect the T21 ECU connector.
    2. Disconnect the P1 switch connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance 

      TERMINALS RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      T21-27 (REV) - P1-1 Below 1 Ω
      T21-27 (REV) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go To Next Step 

  2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (TELEVISION CAMERA ECU - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the T22 ECU connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance 

      TERMINALS RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      T22-8 (GND1) - Body ground Below 1 Ω

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go To Next Step 

  3. INSPECT PARK / NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH (REV VOLTAGE) 
    1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard voltage 

      TERMINALS VOLTAGE SPECIFICATION

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      T21-27 (REV) - Body ground Ignition switch ON, shift lever R position 10 to 14 V

    NG: INSPECT PARK / NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH 

    OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
