Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT RADIO RECEIVER ASSY 
    1. Disconnect the radio receiver assy connector R19.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

      Standard: 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester connection Condition Specified Condition
      TX+ - TX- Always 60 to 80 Ω

    1. NG: REPLACE RADIO RECEIVER ASSY (SEE  RADIO RECEIVER ASSY  ) 
    2. OK: GO TO NEXT STEP 
  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER ASSY - STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSY) 
    1. Disconnect the radio receiver assy R19 connector and stereo component amplifier assy S16 connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the values in the table below.

      Standard: 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester connection Specified Condition
      TX+ (S16-20) - TX+ (R19-5) Below 1 Ω
      TX- (S16-19) - TX- (R19-15) Below 1 Ω
      TX+ (R19-5) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher
      TX- (R19-15) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher

    1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 
    2. OK: GO TO NEXT STEP 
  3. TROUBLESHOOTING FLOW 
    1. Continue troubleshooting according to the table below.
      TROUBLESHOOTING FLOW

      When troubleshooting according to the DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART A
      When troubleshooting according to the PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE B
    1. B: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE (SEE  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  ) 
    2. A: GO TO NEXT STEP 
  4. CHECK DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART 
    1. Check the diagnostic trouble code chart.

      All possible countermeasures have been taken A
      Possible countermeasures still exist B
    1. B: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART (SEE  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART  ) 
    2. A: GO TO NEXT STEP 
  5. REPLACE STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSY (SEE  STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSY  ) 
    1. Replace the stereo component amplifier assy and check if it operates normally.

      OK: The audio system operates normally. 

    1. OK: NORMAL OPERATION 
    2. NG: GO TO NEXT STEP 

      REPLACE RADIO RECEIVER ASSY (SEE  RADIO RECEIVER ASSY  )
