DTC Check / Clear

  1. DTC CHECK 
    1. Connect the intelligent tester to DLC3.
    2. Monitor the ECU data by following the prompts on the tester screen.

      HINT:

      Intelligent tester has a "Snapshot" function which records the monitored data. Refer to the intelligent tester operator's information for further details.

  2. DTC CLEAR 
    1. The following methods will erase the DTCs and freeze frame data.
      1. The intelligent tester can be used to erase the codes.
      2. Disconnecting the battery terminals or EFI No. 1 fuse can also erase the codes.
    2. After completing repairs, the DTC retained in the memory can be cleared by removing the EFI No. 1 fuse for 1 minute or more with the ignition switch OFF.
    3. Check that the normal code is displayed after connecting the fuse.
